PracaSil-Plus is a unique topical anhydrous silicone base that contains oil from the Pracaxi tree found in the Amazon rainforest. A: Each scar case varies, but it starts working as soon as it is applied. It is most effective when used twice daily.

A: PracaSil-Plus is applied by simply rubbing it on the affected area.
Can PracaSil-Plus be used orally?
A: No it has not been approved for oral use.
Can PracaSil-Plus be used in animals?
A: Yes, we have compounded this for use on animals including dogs, snakes, and horses.
Does it wash off easily?
A: Since it is an anhydrous silicone gel, it does not wash off easily.
Can PracaSil-Plus be used vaginally?
A: It has not been tested for vaginal use, but it could certainly be used vaginally.
How soon after surgery can PracaSil-Plus be used?
A: It can be used immediately after surgery.
Is PracaSil-Plus safe for patients who are pregnant or breast feeding?
A: There should not be any problem using PracaSil-Plus during pregnancy. However, it is not designed as “pregnancy safe” since no specific testing has been conducted.
Is PracaSil-Plus a protectant from body fluids, such as diarrhea or leakage around an ostomy site?
A: Yes, the silicones in PracaSil-Plus provide this protection.
